The barns were surveyed and found to support a range of bat species, including greater and lesser horseshoe, whiskered, pipistrelle and brown long-eared. Robust mitigation designs were developed and submitted to NRW as part of the licensing process. After a couple of further ‘tweaks’ to the proposals requested by NRW, the licence was granted, and works began under supervision of our ecologists.
