Gould Ecology operates nationwide, however the majority of our ecological survey work tends to occur within a couple of hours from our base in Pembrokeshire.
Besides the obvious fact that mileage charges can add up for more distant locations, there are other advantages in choosing an ecologist with local knowledge. For example, they may have conducted a similar survey nearby and therefore already know what species are present, or they may have a more detailed understanding of the distribution and behaviour of local species populations. They may also have built up a good relationship with the local county ecologist, which can smooth the planning process.
Gould Ecology work regularly within Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion in West Wales, although we have often travelled further afield to Swansea Caerphilly, Brecon, the Valleys, Aberystwyth, Cardiff, Bristol and Somerset.
Please contact Gould Ecology for more information about ecological surveys or protected species surveys in West Wales, Somerset or further afield.
